FIVE PAGE WEB
How long does it take?
A visual mockup of your website normally takes 3-5 business days.
A final working version takes ±2-3 weeks to complete.
How much does it cost?
A finished Five Page Website generally costs ±$500-600 USD.
Plan on $100 per page.
It may be more.
It may be less. (See below)
What you need to do?
It is crucial to gather the materials and information you want to include in the website – ahead of time. We can create whatever else we need once we start the build. If need be, I can come to your location and do some photography/video. I can also do some design or graphic work if required. And, of course, I can write your story if you are at a loss for doing it yourself.
Knowing what you want to accomplish with your website is the most important ingredient you bring to the kitchen. Think it out. Write your thoughts down. Have notes. Prepare questions. Keep in mind is that the more website content you have available (and organized) ahead of time the more easily the initial stages roll. Be open-minded.
The quest is simple. What do you want to accomplish with your website?
We will review your aspirations and come up with a plan and strategy. Your plan is a general idea of what you want to accomplish. Strategy is what we need to make that happen.
Sometimes it cost more.
Sometimes it cost less.
The true costs behind a competitive website.
The amount of work, thought and energy required to establish, maintain or grow a website are never easily definable. For this reason, it is often very hard for someone to give you a set price before work even begins. No two websites are identical. Each website has its own challenges.
On the one hand, the costs for such things as domain registrations, hosting fees and email accounts are no-brainers. These are customarily third-party services. They are the basic fees. We have nominal control over what those fees may be. We pay the piper. These are simply the "electric bills" of the internet.
On the other hand – creative activities, design, optimization and maintenance tend to be in an entirely different arena. The work involved creating a website for a truly unique service or product is not the same as creating a website for a product or service that is competitively commonplace.
In simple terms, the more competitive the market you are in – the more it will inevitably cost to become noticed in the search engines and to attract visitors. This is a simple fact of life on the web. That "cost" is not necessarily just about budget – it is about time, research and the simple fact that if you are "the new kid on the block" it is going to going to take more time to become noticed than someone that has a history of being there for years.
FYI: Five Page Web maintains an organic approach to SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Online Marketing and Site Development. While research and implementation may take longer to realize with an Organic approach, the results of an Organic SEO are very long lasting as opposed to traditional PPC (Pay-Per-Click) options. Both short-term (as little as 3 months) and long-term (usually yearly) SEO Agreements are available. Please inquire if these services are of interest to you or if you have questions about it.
Notes: I do not prod anyone on the matter of ongoing site development and SEO. However, if you start asking, "What can we do to get more visitors/traffic/customers?" – this will become the obvious topic of discussion. Forewarned is forearmed. I do my best to include a basic SEO on all web projects.
